About Us: Colchester Commons
Colchester Commons Management Corporation is a 55+ Active, Adult, Volunteer & Resident Owned Community located on 110 acres of oak forest nestled on the outskirts of Colchester, Connecticut - right on the Lebanon town line. There are 95 homes, all on one level, designed in several styles ranging from 900 to 1900 square feet.

A development company out of New Haven, Connecticut designed the community in 1983. By February 1984 this venture opened with about seven or eight homes and a clubhouse. As time went on there were more homes added until there were 95 homes. The original homeowners decided to become independent and raised funds by selling shares to purchase the park. First they became incorporated and by June 28th 1991 many of the homeowners became Shareholders of Colchester Commons Management Corporation, the first resident owned, 55+ adult Community in the State of Connecticut.

Many changes have taken place over the years, but the name Colchester Commons is one of the driving forces of our community. Our “common” goal is the desire to live an active life, surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere.

Our home sites are groomed by professionals but we all assist in keeping our areas pristine. We are more than just a group of homes; we are a community which interacts with one another. When you enter the Commons a friendly wave is one way of knowing that you are home.
